About Malachite

The deep green mineral is the natural form of copper carbonate hydroxide. A soft stone (3.2-4.1) favored in ancient times as a pigment for eye shadow or paint. The stone scratches easily so avoid heat, acids, ammonia and hot water. A good stone to use for meditation.
